Omran has been awarded the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001 certificate in MUSCAT
The certificate was received by Nasser bin Khamis al Jashmi, Chairman of Omran along with Eng Wael bin Ahmed al Lawati, Omran CEO and Ahmed bin Mohammed al Sabahi, Omran’s Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager.
Eng Al Lawati, CEO of Omran, said: “The ISO 9001 accreditation is a testament to our commitment to effectively instil quality management standards across all stages of our projects. We are proud to achieve this international standard on our initial attempt to be the first government-owned tourism company and among the few in the GCC to be classified as responsible for quality assurance.”
He added: “At Omran, we embrace an environment where continuous improvement is an integral component of our corporate culture and this represents the cornerstone of every project that we develop, manage and operate. We are determined to uphold our promise to build the best projects to the highest quality and manage them to the highest international standards. We will continue to work closely with our management, staff and partners to ensure that these standards are trickled down to all levels of the organisation and areas of business.”
Al Lawati highlighted that the company’s management system is founded on a strong quality policy which governs all decision-making, an infrastructure and management that is mutually flexible to continuously value added improvements and a monitoring and feedback mechanism that evaluates performance to achieve business excellence.
